Hillary Clinton is making an attempt her hand at fiction writing.

The thriller novel fan and former Secretary of State is teaming up with award-winning writer Louise Penny to pen her first fiction guide “State of Terror.”

The novel facilities round a novice Secretary of State working within the administration of a rival politician who tries to resolve a wave of terrorist assaults. The newly minted president has been inaugurated after “4 years of American management that shrank from the world stage,” a transparent swipe at former president Donald Trump.

“State of Terror,” which will probably be collectively launched by Clinton’s writer Simon & Schuster and Penny’s St. Martin’s Press, is ready to reach in bookshops on Oct. 12.

Penny, whose earlier work consists of “The Cruelest Month” and “The Brutal Telling,” is a long-time buddy of Clinton.

“When it was advised my buddy Hillary and I write a political thriller collectively, I couldn’t say sure quick sufficient,” Penny mentioned in an announcement Tuesday.

Clinton has beforehand written a handful of nonfiction books together with her memoir “Dwelling Historical past;” “Exhausting Selections,” which lined her time working with President Barack Obama; and “What Occurred,” which particulars her loss to Trump within the 2016 election.

Clinton’s transition to fiction writing comes as her husband, former President Invoice Clinton, is ready to launch his second collaboration with thriller author James Patterson. The pair beforehand wrote the cyber thriller “The President is Lacking” and are set to publish a observe up known as “The President’s Daughter” in June.

Monetary phrases for Clinton and Penny’s deal weren’t disclosed.
